Hello Friends, I feels like it is time too watch some of your films! We are having our regularly schedule screening of movies. It's free and always fun to hang out with 60+ fellow filmmakers and ask questions or offer critiques on the films we watch together. This is our attempt to build trust and community within the filmmaking industry here in Philadelphia. How it works:If you want to watch films + meet filmmakers, show up. You might wish to too ask a question or offer feedback after the film plays. If you want to show your film, show up and sign up on the paper in the back of the room. We don't have a set order of what films we play, we don't pre-screen the films. Films can be finished or unfinished. Your film can be shown via a link or a hard drive. We do reserve half of the screening slots for any self-identified minority. We also bounce around the list for the sake of time, diversity of projects, frequency, and experience levels. Why we do this:Gathering and creating stronger connections is important for any community but we think more so for the filmmaking community which is hard work, challenging careers, great people, and highly collaborative. This event is about remembering we need to work together to make better work and that the work should be fun and something we are proud to show our friends. Thanks, and see you soon. |

It is always such a pleasure when the first Wednesday of the month comes around. last month was a so great, it really is awesome to see 80 filmmakers come together and offer advice, share tips and tricks. I think I am most proud of watching people building collaborations that start as a small project and then grow in a years long partnerships, business partners, Director/DP duos.
